Vow

Writing IN THE FIRE meant stepping back into places I once prayed to escape. It meant reopening wounds, rereading old words and feeling everything all over again. This book is a mixture of who I was and who I’ve become, it includes fragments of old journal entries woven with the language of healing. Some pages were born from survival, and some were written in stillness, after I learned what peace could feel and sound like. More than anything, I wrote this book to help someone else. That’s why I couldn’t write it from a distance. I had to step back into the fire to tell it honestly and meet my readers where they are, not where it’s comfortable to be. I’ve always vowed to be transparent with my readers, and sometimes that means stepping back into the mess. Stepping back into the chaos, the pain, and the uncertainty; not to stay there but to write from within it. To tell the truth, to be vulnerable, to be real, to be human.

IN THE FIRE isn’t just a story about pain entirely, it’s about what happens when you face it head on and refuse to let it define you. Anyone who knows me, knows that when they are faced with hard things and painful things I always tell them “Sit with it, don’t run from it. Feel everything, that’s how you begin to heal”. This book is just THAT. This book is proof that revisiting the past doesn’t have to mean being trapped in it. Sometimes, going back through the fire is the only way to see how much you’ve grown beyond it.

This book freed me; it showed me that the flames that once burned me also shaped and transformed me.

IN THE FIRE is available now on Amazon. I hope it meets you wherever you are. I hope you feel seen, heard, loved and empowered. Most of all, I hope you never give up!
