grace

It’s been a while since I’ve written here. Since April, life has been very inward. I’ve been working on releasing a book I’ve been sitting on for a while. I decided to title it From The Vault because it’s a collection of poems I’ve written throughout the years and didn’t quite feel ready to release them. Worried that either they were too much or not enough. However, here I am about to put it out into the world very soon! I stopped waiting for the perfect moment and waiting to feel ready. And honestly, when you’re an author there will be things you hold onto out of fear, but I decided to end that and put it out into the world.

Along the way, I also started working on a new book titled What I Hope You Know. It’s written for the moments you don’t know what to do with. The grief, doubt, and the quiet ache of becoming someone new. It’s soft, honest, personal and I hope it finds the people who need it.

In May, I turned 30 and celebrated a huge milestone. I’ll share more about my trip and my intentions for my thirties in another post soon.

June brought new energy:

School started back

I reunited with a friend I hadn’t seen in a while

I slowed down

I let myself rest

I healed in ways no one could see

And I kept writing quietly and consistently

I’ve been showing up not always publicly and maybe that is what this season is teaching me; that growth doesn’t have to be loud to be real. I’ve been intentionally taking time away from social media to actually live my life lol.

So, if you’re reading this thank you for being here.

Thank you for holding space for my words, especially when I’ve been learning how to hold space for myself.

I’m still writing, still becoming and I can’t wait to show you what’s next.

More soon,

Asiha Celeste
