flame

I wrote this book when I was still inside the storm, when survival was the only language, I knew. It was the season of heartbreak, loss, abuse, trauma, anger and truth-telling. This book is a cinematic reflection of that time. The raw, unfiltered moments of being broken open. It moves through four stages: ignition, heat, ember and ashes; tracing what it means to burn, to break, to endure and to begin again. It isn’t written from the other side of healing; it is the moment.

Now sharing it from a place of peace, I see it differently. I see how every moment I once called destruction was really transformation. I see how necessary the fire was to clear the space for the life I live now, one filled with unconditional love, safety, softness, peace and so much gratitude. This book isn’t a cry for help, it’s a timestamp. A record of what it looked like to survive something that could have swallowed me whole and proof that survival can eventually turn into peace. There is a sister book coming soon, one that picks up where this story leaves off. It’s about what happens after the fire: the becoming, awakening, rising and fruition. But for now, this is where the story begins…

BTS: I always vow to write every book with transparency, and I could not write this book from a distance. Writing this book meant stepping back into the fire. It meant reopening wounds, sitting with memories and feeling everything all over again. I went back through old journal entries, turned on music that carried me through those years and marked deep pain. I let myself return to the places I had once prayed to escape. It was an emotional tug and pull between what I had endured, what I survived and who I have become since. It was not easy to relive but it was necessary. In doing so, I discovered something unexpected: returning did not consume me, it freed me. This book is proof that the fire no longer holds me captive. I walked back through it and still, I rose.

This book means more to me than I can ever fully say, and I can’t wait for you to read it!
